A few things to know.
Does Cofus require an account?
No. Cofus works without an account, login, or subscription.
Where are my books stored?
You choose the location of every .cofus book package when saving it.
Does Cofus upload my writing?
No. The current App Store version does not upload manuscripts to a developer-operated service.
What happens to books in Trash Bin?
Trash Bin is a recoverable Portfolio state. Books remain safe, can still be opened, and can be moved back to another section.
Can I export my manuscript?
Yes. Cofus can export complete books as PDF or RTF files.
Can I open an older .writingbook document?
Yes. Cofus can create a new .cofus copy while preserving the original legacy file.
Does Cofus include an AI assistant?
The first App Store release focuses on a stable, local-first writing and book-management experience. It does not include an AI assistant.
